Today was the final day of the 30-Day Movement Challenge! 🎉
(Not that I’m stopping this is my lifestyle.) I created this challenge to help share habits that support your mind and body, and if it’s helped even one person, then I’ve done what I came to do. Nothing here is ever forced you take what fits your life, leave what doesn’t. But movement, in any form, is powerful. It can truly change the way you feel inside and out.
Today was also HAIR day and oh my gosh, I loved it. I went a little more dramatic with my face-framing pieces, and I’ve been talking with my stylist about keeping my length (always!) but adding in some layers. I’m craving volume but let’s be clear my hair is naturally huge. Like, massive. I’ve had enough hair for three people since birth tight ring curls that have always been super frizzy. Once I started straightening it years ago, I just never looked back. Now I go for volume curls or a straighter look, but never pin-straight. It’s just not me. I love big, bold, wild hair. 💁♀️
She did such an amazing job today, and I might go back next month for that layered cut. For now, I’m just playing with how I want to style it.
While I was getting pampered, my daughter and granddaughter spent the day in the pool, soaking up the sun and making the most of summer. She’s loving her new goggles and pool toys, and burning off all that amazing energy. I also surprised her with a Roblox gift card, which made her so happy. I don’t spoil her often outside of the occasional frozen yogurt stop 😄 but it’s been months, and I figured… why not?
Tonight, I’m winding down with a new book: “If He Had Been With Me.” I saw it all over social media and it’s supposed to be super emotional, so I’m mentally preparing myself for a good cry. I just finished my full nighttime skin care routine (which is so long now), and the only thing left is applying my retinol before bed.
I hope everyone had a beautiful Tuesday. I’ll see you all tomorrow.
Goodnight and hugs 💛
