Last night, I finally got nine hours of sleep, and it felt incredible exactly what I needed. I woke up feeling even better than yesterday, and I’m slowly getting back to my daily routines. After talking with my medical team, I know it’s important to keep my body moving, even in small ways, to build back my strength. So today, I decided to restart my "picture of the day" posts on Instagram a little motivation to get creative again.
I spent the day being productive laundry, cleaning, washing throws and blankets, and a long, refreshing shower. I also got in some gentle movement on my yoga mat no cardio yet, as my calorie intake is still low from the loss of taste. But I’m proud of my progress, and I even managed to take a three-hour nap, which was my body’s way of saying it needed extra rest.
Family will be visiting tomorrow, and I’m excited to see them. On top of that, one of my favorite Christian poets and artists, Clayton Jennings, released a new album today. He’s someone I’ve admired since I became a Christian in 2016. After years away, he’s back with powerful, honest messages that I love. It was a beautiful surprise, and his words have always been so real and impactful.
Tonight, I’m going to unwind maybe a comedy or a fun game but I still have a few small things to finish around the house. No matter what, I’m feeling so grateful for today, for God, and for each small step forward.
Wishing everyone a peaceful and blessed Saturday. 💖
