Yesterday, I didn’t get a chance to come on here and blog it was all about my granddaughter’s special day, and what a beautiful day it was! From the moment we picked her up until bedtime, it was filled with joy, laughter, and little hiccups (like any real day), but she had an amazing time.
We spent the day surrounded by decorations, presents, and so much love. The gifts, of course, aren’t what truly matter it’s the memories we create and the smiles that light up their faces. She wanted to choose everything for her day where we ate, where we went and we made it all happen. Her one big wish was for a scooter, just like her best friend’s, and seeing her excitement when she got it was priceless.
We spent time at the mall on a hunt for a long skirt she loves when I dress up and wanted one just like mine. After checking several stores with no luck, we finally decided to order one online. Along the way, we found a few other things that brought even more smiles. We took so many photos, but my favorite was at the booth in the mall even though the first one glitched, we laughed so much.
She wanted to dress like Grandma for her birthday, so we curled her hair, and she sat in my room while I listened to my gospel music and did my makeup. I let her wear a little blush and highlighter just a touch. I don’t believe in makeup for her age, but it made her feel special to do what we do. Later, after a quick nap, we went to her favorite store (Target, of course!), grabbed ice cream cupcakes from Cold Stone, and ended the night cozy at home, reflecting on the day and feeling so thankful.
Today has been slower catching up on things around the house while my granddaughter enjoys a playdate. My daughter has such wonderful mom friends from school, and I’m so grateful for that community. Days like this remind me just how blessed we are.
When We Let God Lead Instead of Anger
When we let anger lead our choices, we risk hurting the ones who least deserve it. Family disagreements are never easy, but dragging loved ones into that storm only deepens the pain. God calls us to handle conflict with grace, not control to lead with love, not bitterness.
No matter what we’re facing, we must remember to pause, pray, and act from love. Healing doesn’t come from punishing others it comes from letting God work within our hearts. If you needed that message today, I pray it reaches you deeply.
Take a moment to sit in silence and ask yourself, How can I do better? How can I treat others with more love and grace? We can’t fight evil with evil. When I feel frustration or sadness rise, I turn to my Bible, pray, and surround myself with people who lift me higher those who live with love, peace, and purpose.
I don’t allow drama into my life anymore. I know what I can control and what I can’t and I give the rest to God. He is my Savior, my Father, the one who changed my life forever. I’m not perfect none of us are but that’s why Jesus died for our sins. He forgives, and so we must forgive too.
If you find yourself trapped in anger, gossip, lies, or bitterness, I urge you to stop right now and repent. Ask for true forgiveness and let God transform your heart. You’ll find a peace unlike anything you’ve ever known. I hate not a single person only have love and pray they find the same level of peace in there heart.
If this message helps even one person come closer to Jesus, then I’ve done what I’m meant to do. I love you all, and I pray you find the same love, peace, and joy that I have in Him. ❤️
( the picture is my favorite not planned or anything just all of us smooshed into a booth I have such a beautiful daughter inside and out look at her and my grand daughter I'm a proud grandma )
