Today was definitely more of a chill day, and honestly, I needed that. I let myself sleep in a bit since I have an early appointment tomorrow and wanted to give my body the rest it’s been asking for. I still got things done cleaned up the house, took care of some to-dos, and even squeezed in my 30 minutes of movement earlier in the day, which I’m proud of.
This weekend I’ll be upgrading my phone since my current iPhone isn’t doing so well. I already ordered the pink one (it was between that and the teal!), and I’m glad I was able to pay it off right away I don’t want to get back into payment plans. My daughter also needs an upgrade, so we’re hoping to check out options for her this weekend too, but we’ll see what works budget-wise.
Tonight we grabbed some chicken and avocado tacos (so good!) and got in a little grocery run. Now that the essentials are done cleaning, laundry, movement I’m debating between watching a movie, playing a game, or maybe even reading. One thing I am trying to do less of: doom scrolling. It just drains my energy, especially when I’m also trying to be present on my socials and websites not to mention the overwhelming world of dating and trying to connect with new people.
On a brighter note, I’m so proud of how the Movement Club is growing. The new page for it should be up on my website early next week, and I’m so excited to share that with everyone. It’s such a fulfilling thing to be part of, and days like today productive, intentional, and peaceful remind me how good it feels to slow down without stopping.
