Happy 4th of July!
I hope everyone has a safe, fun, and memory-filled day. Whether you’re with family, friends, or just chilling at home, I hope you find a moment that makes you smile.
While today is full of celebration, I also want to gently remind everyone that it can be a really hard day for some especially those with PTSD. The loud noises and unpredictability of fireworks can be incredibly triggering. I have CPTSD, and I remember how rough those first few years were. I’m better with the fireworks now, but I’m still very jumpy with certain sounds. So please, while you enjoy the day, keep that in mind for your neighbors, your pets, and your community.
As for me, it’s a chill day at home. I’m not feeling my best, but I’m grateful I can still see the fireworks from where I live. That’s a little gift in itself.
Also please keep your pets inside tonight. It’s a scary night for them, too. 🐾
Wishing you all peace, joy, and a soft place to land tonight.
Sending hugs and love 💛
