Today, I gave myself permission to slow down and while I still got my movement in, I really leaned into healing. Taking a full rest day is pretty foreign to me. I’m usually go-go-go, bursting with energy (without caffeine I’ve never needed it!). But after tweaking my back, I knew the best thing I could do was give my body the grace it deserves to recover properly.
I spent the day reading, stretching gently, and skipping the cardio I usually crave. No jogging, no intense workouts just mindful movement, yoga, and a lot of deep breaths. This weekend will be all about recovery, and honestly, I’m proud of myself for leaning into that instead of pushing through. Because if you don’t rest, you can’t heal.
Today marks Day 15 of my 30-Day Movement Challenge, and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come especially while honoring my limits. Whether you’re following along or simply moving in your own way, I hope you’re seeing just how much even a little daily movement can shift your mindset. That’s what this challenge is all about.
