Today, I gave myself permission to slow down and while I still got my movement in, I really leaned into healing. Taking a full rest day is pretty foreign to me. Iām usually go-go-go, bursting with energy (without caffeine Iāve never needed it!). But after tweaking my back, I knew the best thing I could do was give my body the grace it deserves to recover properly.
I spent the day reading, stretching gently, and skipping the cardio I usually crave. No jogging, no intense workouts just mindful movement, yoga, and a lot of deep breaths. This weekend will be all about recovery, and honestly, Iām proud of myself for leaning into that instead of pushing through. Because if you donāt rest, you canāt heal.
Today marks Day 15 of my 30-Day Movement Challenge, and Iām so proud of how far Iāve come especially while honoring my limits. Whether youāre following along or simply moving in your own way, I hope youāre seeing just how much even a little daily movement can shift your mindset. Thatās what this challenge is all about.
