Today was a day of deep rest. I was extremely tired and spent most of the day recovering. After talking to my medical team, I was reassured that this is normal my body went through a rough patch, and it needs more sleep than usual to heal. Even though I’m feeling about 80% better, it’s clear that I still need to take it slow. Moving around in short bursts is the best way to help my body regain strength, especially with this upper respiratory virus. Though the cough lingers, it’s no longer contagious.
One of the highlights of my day was a beautiful surprise from my daughter. She ran out and brought me a cozy blanket, a sweet LEGO flower, and, most importantly, a heartfelt card. The words in that card made me feel truly seen and appreciated for everything I do past and present. It was a reminder of how much love surrounds me, and honestly, that meant more than any gift ever could.
I’ve always been someone who treasures memories. My memory board is filled with letters, polaroid's, ticket stubs, cards, and drawings from my family little pieces of joy collected over the years. To me, memories are the best gifts because they capture moments and emotions that last forever.
As I continue to rest and rebuild my strength, I’m grateful for the love and support I have. And I hope everyone reading this remembers to cherish the little things they’re what truly matter. 💖
